I Draw Slow, a five-piece folk band based in Dublin, will provide an immersive night of music at the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor on Thursday, July 9th.The critically-acclaimed band has consistently redefined roots music with their distinctive blend of Irish and Appalachian composition. Through original songs that evoke Appalachian old time, Irish traditional and indie folk, they employ fiddle, banjo, guitar, double bass and sibling harmonies to create a sound that is both traditional and fresh, foregrounding storytelling and melody, delivered by skilled and passionate musicians.

Leading the band are sibling songwriters Dave and Louise Holden; their latest album moves into new roots territory—enlisting traditional string instruments to deliver contemporary themes and alt-folk grooves. I Draw Slow has fully established itself in the North American acoustic music scene, touring the US and Canada multiple times a year and appearing regularly at some of the biggest and most iconic roots festivals, including Pickathon, Merelfest and Grey Fox. The band is currently working on a sixth studio album.
