Steep Canyon Rangers bring their acclaimed bluegrass and Americana sound to the Boothbay Opera House on Aug. 22 from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Hailing from the Appalachian and Piedmont regions of North Carolina, the band has deep roots in traditional bluegrass while bringing in accessible influences from across the region. Their recent albums have earned attention far beyond the bluegrass world, helping establish them as some of today’s most respected Americana songwriters.

The lineup features Graham Sharp on banjo and vocals, Mike Guggino on mandolin, mandola, and vocals, Aaron Burdett on guitar and vocals, Nicky Sanders on fiddle and vocals, and Barrett Smith on bass, guitar, and vocals. Over their celebrated career, Steep Canyon Rangers have released 14 studio albums, three collaborative albums with Steve Martin, earned three Grammy nominations, joined the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame, and performed on some of music’s biggest stages.
