DESCRIPTION:AdaptX and Adaptive Outdoor Education Center Unite Brunswick Th
 rough Inclusive Unified 5K on June 13\n\nAdaptX\, in partnership with the 
 Adaptive Outdoor Education Center (AOEC)\, will host a Unified 5K on June 
 13\, 2026\, at the Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department. The event is
  an inclusive road race and adaptive sports expo designed so that everyone
  can participate\, whether they run\, walk\, or roll. Registration is now 
 open.\n\nThe Unified 5K brings together athletes with and without disabili
 ties in a shared space\, challenging perceptions and demonstrating that sp
 ort is most meaningful when everyone has a place at the starting line. The
  event will also feature an adaptive sports expo (AdaptXpo)\, offering att
 endees an opportunity to explore adaptive sports and learn more about equi
 pment and programming available in the region.\n\nRace day will include mu
 ltiple events to ensure accessibility for all participants: an early 5K st
 art at 9:30 a.m. for participants who anticipate taking longer than an hou
 r to finish\, a Kids Fun Run at 9:35 a.m.\, and the main 5K Run\, Roll\, a
 nd Row\, along with a 1-mile option\, beginning at 10:00 a.m.\n\nProceeds 
 will support AOEC’s programming\, including an adaptive biking initiativ
 e that will be delivered in Falmouth and Brunswick public schools\, expand
 ing access to inclusive physical activity opportunities for students with 
 disabilities. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to participate 
 and may register free of charge.
