DESCRIPTION:The South Portland War Veteran's Memorial Association is sponso
 ring the annual South Portland Memorial Day Parade! \nThe South Portland 
 War Veterans' Memorial Association\, which is chaired by the American Legi
 on Post #35 of South Portland as a traditional parade and Ceremonial Organ
 izers will be sponsoring the following events:\nSaturday May 24th: Veteran
  Grave Flagging Program\nWe will meet at the American Legion Post #35 at 8
 :30 AM and depart at 9 AM\, in designated groups\, to place Veteran Graves
 ite Flags at various Southern Portland Cemeteries\nMonday May 26th: Memori
 al Day Parade &amp\; Ceremony\nThe Memorial Day Parade will form at SMCC P
 arking Lot at the North end of Broadway\, starting at 9:30 AM and will ste
 p off at 10:30 AM sharp. It will continue down Broadway to the Veteran's M
 onument\, beyond Pratt Abott where there will be a short Memorial Day Reco
 gnition Service. The parade will feature marching bands\, color guards\, f
 loats\, an array of vehicles and more.\n\n&nbsp\;\nSchedule:\n9:30 AM - Pa
 rade participants begin forming at Southern Maine Community College Parkin
 g Lot at the North end of Broadway.\n\n10:30 AM - The parade steps off. Th
 e parade begins at SMCC and continues down Broadway to the Veteran’s Mon
 ument\, just beyond Pratt and Abbott\, where there will be a short Memoria
 l Day Recognition Service.\n\nThe parade ends at roughly 11 AM.\n\nFor mor
