On May 20th, the Tate House Museum is holding their annual plant sale for those looking to spruce up their garden. In addition to the annuals and perennials you can purchase, The Tate House invites you to create a native “seed bomb” to get native plants growing in your garden, which could be a great activity for kids!
The Tate House Kitchen will be open from 10am to 12pm with a special garden-themed display and information about plant use by the Tate family.
The popular plant sale features perennials and native plants from local gardens as well as herbs and perennials grown right in the Tate House garden. You can also purchase vegetable seedlings, annual flowers, or hanging baskets.
Proceeds from the sale support the educational mission of Tate House Museum, the only colonial period public museum in Cumberland County.
