Sing the ethereal Franz Schubert Mass in G Major, D. 167 with the Lincoln Festival Chorus this summer!

Under the inspired direction of Artistic Director Linda Blanchard, alongside pianist and organist Sean Fleming, this is a unique opportunity to be part of a musical celebration marking our 44th season. It being composed in seven days in 1815 by the 18-year-old Schubert, this Mass is renowned for its enchanting melodic charm and elegance.

Rehearsals are every Monday night from 7:00-9:00 PM, beginning June 17 through August 5, at the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor, 125 Townsend Ave. Beyond the Schubert Mass, our program features a delightful mix of shorter pieces, including beloved classics by The Platters like “My Prayer” and “Red Sails in the Sunset.” The Lincoln Festival Chorus has a rich history of acclaimed performances, including Mozart’s “Coronation” Mass and Requiem, and Haydn’s “Lord Nelson” Mass.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of a storied tradition and sing these beautiful works with a holy congregation! Or if you like to listen, join us for performances on August 9 and 11 and experience the joy of bringing this masterpiece to life.
