Free Community performance!

The Opera House welcomes The Future is Here, a free community performance from Halcyon in collaboration with singer-songwriter Alisa Amador. Donations to support the Opera House are encouraged at the door.

This multimedia production asks audiences to imagine a world where communities are already meeting the climate crisis with creativity, care, and determination. Through live music, film, community voices, and stop-motion animation, The Future is Here shares the stories of Maine people building regenerative, resilient, and more connected communities.

Told through a series of vignettes, the performance highlights the real work already happening across Maine, from local innovation to everyday acts of stewardship. The program celebrates practical hope, community action, and the people helping shape a more sustainable future.

Doors open for seating at 6:30 PM, and the program runs approximately one hour. The event is sponsored by Boothbay Region Land Trust, Boothbay Region Clean Drinking Water Initiative, Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, Boothbay Sea & Science Center, Sunrise Ecologic, and the Boothbay Region Climate Action Committee.
