UUCB Concerts for a Cause presents Chelsea Berry at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Brunswick on Saturday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. to raise money for Oasis Free Clinics and the Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project.

Alaskan-born Chelsea Berry is a powerhouse vocalist and performer now residing in Gouldsboro, just north of Acadia National Park.  She is known for her powerful and beautiful voice, dynamic stage presence, and intimate storytelling.

She has released 10 original albums over her 25-year career and has collaborated on projects with dozens of other writers and performers. Her music is played regularly on Sirius XM’s The Loft and has been featured on local radio and TV stations.

She is currently working on her 11th album, Peace Soldier, funded in part by Berry’s idea and execution of a 24-hour song marathon to support the creation of a record centered on compassion, love, and empathy.

Berry has built a devoted audience throughout New England and across the country.  As a veteran of the road, she has toured coast to coast in venues such as House of Blues, Carnegie Hall, and the World Cafe Live and has provided support for legendary artists including Livingston Taylor, Chris Smither, Mavis Staples, Chris Isaak, Shawn Colvin, and many others.

“There’s a magic that happens when you hear an artist’s conviction not only in their words but in their tone of voice. That believability is the trait that separates the greats from the wannabes — and Chelsea Berry has it in spades.”— Ellis Paul

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and $10 for students/children, available at the church office, Gulf of Maine Books, or online at https://ticketstripe.com/chelsea.

This performance is part of the UUCB Concerts for a Cause series whose mission is to bring a variety of quality music to the Brunswick area while raising funds for local nonprofit organizations.  ALL net profits from ticket sales are donated to the two charities chosen by the Concert committee at the beginning of the season. Since its inception in 2014, the concert series has raised over $68,000 for local charities.
